Customize the default theme

Download and customize Full Help's default knowledge base theme

You can customize Full Help's knowledge base default theme so it meets your business' brand guidelines and requirements.

What you will need

1. A copy of the default theme. You can download the theme.zip file from the latest release available.
2. Basic knowledge on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Twig

Once you have downloaded the theme.zip file, unzip it and use your favorite text or code editor to adjust the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and images as needed. Don't delete any files or change the default theme structure, as this is important for themes to be accepted by the help desk.

Uploading, Previewing and Publishing your theme

Before uploading your theme, create a new zip file of the theme you modified. The final zip file structure must be similar to the original zip file.

Once you have the theme zip file, upload it to your knowledge base site by following these instructions:

1. On your Full Help dashboard, go to the site you want to customize, click Settings on the sidebar, then Theme.
2. Click the Upload theme button at the bottom of the page, a modal will be displayed, proceed to click the file input and select the theme.zip file you just created. Then, click on the Upload theme button.
3. Once the upload is complete, the theme will be displayed under "My themes" section. From there, you can Preview or Publish your theme by clicking the theme's Action dropdown button.
